- Your making the assumption that Amigas won't sell. If AT were to do
- some marketing and get a low end Amiga out for under $500 that has at
- least a hard drive and CDROM, it would sell like crazy considering that
- all other computers in the mass market stores are about $1300-$2000.
-
- They could sell a low end Amiga for under $500 easily. Take a look at the
- CD32s. They are going for about $180-$250. With some changes to add all
- the normal ports, hard drive controller, 40mhz EC030, 170MB hard drive,
- external keyboard and mouse, it would bring the retail price up to about
- $500.
-
- Think about it. How many people would skip buying $300 CD game systems when
- they could buy a $500 computer that has a CD. Have you noticed how well
- game systems sold last Christmas? A $500 computer would blow them away next
- Christmas.
